Portrait in Black (1960) is a thriller released by Universal International. Produced by Ross Hunter, who also produced Airport (1970) and other films for Universal, the film starred Lana Turner and Anthony Quinn. The film was noteworthy for its extensive location filming in and around San Francisco, including a spectacular sequence at Devil's Slide on the Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1). It also was the final film in which veteran actress Anna May Wong appeared.[1]

Based on a play, Sheila Cabot (Lana Turner) becomes increasingly disturbed as she cares for her ailing, disagreeable husband (Lloyd Nolan). Along the way, she falls in love with Dr. David Rivera (Anthony Quinn), who is tending her husband. This leads to a series of unfortunate events, resulting in the death of the husband and an ensuing murder investigation.
